Full Arch immediate-load technique Trebbo, Castel Maggiore, Bologna.

What seemed like a dream until yesterday is now a reality proven by thousands of successfully executed applications. Away with the dentures that won’t sit still and hurt; forward, in its place, four osseointegrated “pins” that support a whole screwed-in (fixed) beautiful and efficient prosthesis. At the Implant Therapy Center in Trebbo di Reno, Bologna, directed by Dr. Stefano Mega, it is possible, obviously in subjects deemed suitable, to perform a complete rehabilitation in a SINGLE INTERVENTION even if there are still some remaining teeth. The new technique (I.F.A) allows implants to be placed even in conditions of minimal bone due to their depth and diagonal placement. This excludes multiple surgeries and the use of reconstructive techniques that often have poorly predictable results and in any case require long healing times (6 months to 1 year).

Our protocol, aims to solve the problems that traditional insertion posed: namely, large number of screws, thus multiple surgeries, and obviously long healing time (6 months to 1 year). The peculiarity of the full-arch technique is basically the performance of a single procedure involving the insertion of 4 titanium screws placed in a polygon pattern (to give greater stability) and which are already suitable to support a fixed prosthetic structure of 10/12 dental elements. At the end of the surgery, the patient already has a beautiful and efficient screw-retained fixed prosthesis. The technique is applied to both the maxilla and mandible, even if there are still some remaining teeth. This excludes the use of reconstructive techniques that often have poorly predictable results.

Today, maximum results can be achieved with the new superselect 3D cone-beam CT scan, which allows the position of implants to be determined safely and accurately.

The procedure is performed under conscious sedation with an anesthesiologist: this not only provides greater comfort but also allows clinical monitoring both during and postoperatively. Hundreds of patients treated at the Center have chosen the application of systematic IFA. These are mainly people between 40 and 70 years of age, eligible for treatment, who have lost their teeth and for psychological and functional reasons do not accept dentures.
